One of the three criteria to qualify for the Safety section of the Ring the Bell Unit Recognition Program is for at least half of your unit’s direct contact leaders (DCLs) to complete Incident Reduction and Reporting training. A DCL is an adult who has direct contact with youth, such as Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, den leaders, and assistants. All volunteers in the council are encouraged to attend the course, however.
Incident Reduction and Reporting training is a free course that provides an overview of our organization’s safety policies, resources, and reporting procedures. This course is offered as a one-hour in-person or virtual instructor-led training via Zoom webinar to make it as convenient as possible. Registration is required.
Council-wide Incident Reduction & Reporting Training has concluded for 2024. Some districts may offer additional courses before the end of the year. We’ll have the 2025 schedule posted soon.
At the new Service Center at 901 E. 8th Avenue in King of Prussia, in the Training Room on the second floor (next to suite 202). Capacity is limited to 34 participants.
Via Zoom webinar (only instructors will be visible on the screen).
