Cub Adventures at Musser Scout Reservation

We offer a variety of Resident overnight camping and day program on our 1400 acre Scout Reservation. The Scouts will get to enjoy camp and work on advancement in some of our 11 program stations! If you can’t go with your pack or den you are welcome to attend with your parents or a small group. Our camp staff is excited to bring you a great advancement program, as well as aquatics, archery, hiking, nature, STEM, BMX bikes, Bouldering Wall, Native American Village Area, Action Sling Shots, and BB guns activities with themed fun all around! Scouts will be taught by our fully-trained staff that is ready for fun and adventure!

 

Build Your Own Adventure–Year 2:  New this year, register online for your BYOA activities.  You may only register NAMED Cub Scouts.  So get organized and get everyone named and inputted into the Doubleknot system.  How to register for activities on your BYOA day picture guide.

 

Advancement Reports By Week of Camp:

  • Final Leaders Meeting before Camp:  both meeting are held at Musser Scout Reservation, Camp Hart Dining Hall and start at 7pm.
    1. Resident Camp specific:  Monday June 25, 2018
    2. Day Camp specific:  Tuesday June 26, 2018

    If you can not make it to your specific meeting night feel free to come to the other.  All that we ask is hold your questions until the end and we will speak with you one on one.  Check in times and site assignments will be given out during your meeting.  We will also spot check your medical forms for you during the meeting.

  • Schedule:
    • Resident Camp 3 Night– Thursday, June 28th – July 1st
    • Day Camp ONLY– July 9th-13th (General Nash and Continental Busing)
    • Day Camp ONLY– July 16th-20th (Lafayette Busing)
    • Resident Camp 6 Night– Sunday, July 22nd – Saturday, July 28th
    • Resident Camp 3 Night– Thursday, Aug 2nd – Sunday, Aug 5th
    • Resident Camp 3 Night– Thursday, Aug 9th – Sunday, Aug 12th

Pre-Camp Swim Tests

June 25 and 26 6:30-8:30pm at Camp Hart Pool

July 11, 18 6:30-8:30pm at Camp Hart Pool

No need to sign up just show up.  Don’t forget your swim classification form.  Save time by having it pre-filled out with names!

  • NEW–Tier Pricing:
    • Lock in a price for the whole unit without knowing actual numbers.  Everyone in your Pack pays the same regardless of when they tell you they are coming.
    • Tier 1: A Pack Deposit (or individual payment) of $100 must be received by 2/15/2018.
    • Tier 2: A Pack Deposit (or individual payment) of $100 must be received by 4/15/2018.
    • Tier 3: Pricing is in effect for individuals and Packs that did not put a deposit in by 4/15/2018.

 

  • **1 free adult for every 5 cub scouts registered for camp in your unit. Register as a unit to have discount apply easier.
  • Day Participant busing available for an additional $45 fee.
  • Day Participant AOL overnighter for an additional $30 fee, for additional program and meals.
  • Resident Camp premium facility upgrade to Camp Garrison for $30 for 3 nights and $60 for 6 nights per each adult and youth. Dormitory sleeping on bunk beds, with flush toilets and showers at each facility.
  • Camperships are available and due by 4/1/2018.

Pre-Camp Information:
  • Camp Guide 2018–Get all the information you need in one place, whether it is Resident Camp or Day Camp you can find your answers here.  Schedules, Menus, QandA… (Version 3 upload 6/7/2018)
  • Pre-camp QuestionnairePrint and fill this important form out, email to camping@colbsa.org.
  • Swim Classification Form–Taking your swim test prior to coming to camp?  Take this form with you get it filled out and send us a copy prior to coming to camp and your Buddy Tags will be ready and be waiting for you.  Put your unit and dates of camp on the top of the form before sending to help us out.
  • Build Your Own Adventure (BYOA) How-to–An easy to use picture guide of how to sign up for activities.
  • Bus Schedule–Using our bus service to come to Day Camp?  See the schedule and other important info here.
  • Dietary Request Form–Whether it is an allergy, cultural, religious reason we want to know.  We can accommodate most concerns but need to know ahead of time.  Please fill out this short form to make us aware.
  • T-shirt Order Form–Use this form to pre-order your summer shirt and save.  All orders will be picked up at camp on your first day in the Trading Post.  Payment is due at this time.
Medical Forms:
  • Annual Health and Medical Form— EVERYONE (youth and adult) coming to Day or Resident Camps need to bring one of these filled out to camp.  Day Camp requires parts A and B, Resident Camp requires A, B, and C.
  • Grandview Hospital Release Form–All youth must have this filled out and turned in with medical form at camp.
  • Drug Administration Record (fillable)–Every youth needs this form filled out and turned in with medical form at camp.  Available soon
  • Unit Medication Release Form–House your units medicine in your site.  We will provide a lock-box for you to secure your units medication in your own site.  During your stay you will be responsible for making sure your youth take their medication.
  • Adult Medication Release Form–Any adult wanting to store their own medicine securely needs to fill this out and turn in with their medical form.
  • Food Allergy concerns, contact Marco Morales Director of Dining Services for FLIK at:  marco.morales@compass-usa.com.  Please list date in camp, who has the allergy, and the allergy concern in your email.
  • Allergy Action Plan Form–not required but a good idea to have this written out if you or your Scout have allergies so we can help you faster.
  • Annual Health and Medical Q and A–Information sheet that answers some questions you may have about this form
  • Musser Summer Camp Medical Locations–This form gives you directions to the Grand View ER, Urgent cares, and pharmacy locations.  The form also has what to do if you leave camp and come back for illness or injury.
