2017 Resica Falls Leader Guide Version 1– Contains schedules, packing lists, maps, FAQs, sample menus, activity lists etc. 2017

2017 Resica Falls Program Guide The program guide is for parents, Youth Scout Leaders (SPL, ASPL, PL, APL), and Adult Scout Leaders. It includes the merit badge schedule with prerequisites with the daily schedule of activities and training.

DoubleKnot and Merit Badge registration Information – This is a guide on how to register fro summer camp and sign up for merit badges and other camp programs

ATV Release Form— This form is needed for all participants taking part in the ATV program. Scouts ages 14 and older will be able to complete the course designed by the ATV Safety Institute (ASI) and enjoy two trail rides. The week-long course, 80 minutes a day, will teach the rider main parts of the ATV, how to care for and maintain an ATV, and all rules of the road and operational techniques. Goggles, gloves, and helmets will be provided.  Scouts will need to wear long sleeves, long pants and shoes or boots that cover the ankle.

Special Diet Request— This survey is emailed directly to our food service provider on completion.

Summer Camp Forms Guide— Checklist of what guides and forms are needed for camp.

Troop precamp questionnaire— please fill out this survey before May 31. This survey helps us to prepare for your Troops arrival at camp.

Annual BSA Medical form— Parts A and B are required for ALL participants and A, B and C for ALL resident campers. (both youth and adults are required to have the appropriate form completed).

Annual Health and Medical Record Q&A— FAQ Fact Sheet about this form from National

Allergy Action Plan Form— Please submit a copy of the allergy action plan with your medical form, if you have/need one. If you do not have a form please complete the appropriate action form.

Drug Administration Record— 1 per participant (see the health and safety section of the camp guide for full instructions).

Unit Medication Storage Release Record— Resica Falls provides a secure, locking storage container for your unit to keep their medications within their own campsite.

Adult Medication Storage Release Record— Any adult wishing to keep medications with them and not stored with the pack needs this form.

Swim Test Form—  Use this form if you plan on taking your swim test prior to camp.

2017 Specialty Camps

Troop 1

Who is Troop One for and Why would a Scout Participate?

  • Any registered Scout, Varsity Scout or Venturer
  • Any Scout whose Unit is not going to camp
  • Any Scout who would like to spend an extra week or more in camp
  • Any Scout who wants to earn extra advancement
  • Any Scout who wants an extra adventure

What will the Program be Like?

You will arrive in camp on Sunday Afternoon with the rest of the participants in Troop One and you will quickly be organized into a Troop with Patrols. With the help of the Troop One Scoutmaster and the Resica Falls Camp Staff you will plan out the programs you wish to participate in throughout the week. Whether it is advancement you are interested in or high adventure opportunities such as COPE or Climbing we have it all and the sky is the limit. It will be very similar to a typical Unit summer camp experience except you will have the extra chance to meet new friends and run your own personal program.

Fawn Run Hiking Program

resica river pic 2Fawn Run is a week-long hiking program that will take the Scouts on an adventure all over the Resica Falls Property. With 4,600 acres, over 20 miles of trails and countless scenic overlooks, Resica Falls is the perfect place to spend a week hiking through the woods. With a Philmont-like style of staying at a different camp many nights, and having activities to do once you get to your campsite every day, Scouts are sure to want to come back for more!Must be at least 13 years of age to participate. These programs are offered each week at Resica Falls provided enough participants register.

High Adventure at Resica Falls Scout Reservation

Join us for a week-long trip of over 70 miles down the picturesque Delaware River. Scouts will camp-out at designated campsites along the river as they make the journey south from Damascus, PA to the Delaware Water Gap. During the trip, Scouts will be able to enjoy fun water activities, as well as work on requirements for the Whitewater Merit Badge. This is a great opportunity for Scouts that are looking for an exciting, outdoor experience and love the water!

Must be at least 13 years of age to participate. These programs are offered each week at Resica Falls provided enough participants register.
