Districts

The District is a fundamental element of the BSA structure. By dividing the Council Service area into Districts, we are better able to administer, train, and serve the Packs, Troops, and Crews within each of the boundaries. The Districts will independently offer resources and personnel who can make the Scouting experience for you and your Scout a positive and engaging experience.

When you locate your District, take the time to look over your District Staff, Program and Event opportunities, and Trainings that may be taking place in your area. Also be sure to attend your next upcoming Roundtable event as these are great resources for gaining insight and ideas for your unit.

Philadelphia County is broken down into three District Service Areas. These areas allow the Cradle of Liberty Council to better serve each Scouting community with a dedicated team of executives, volunteers, and Scouters.

Montgomery County is broken down into five District Service Areas. These areas allow the Cradle of Liberty Council to better serve each Scouting community with a dedicated team of executives, volunteers, and Scouters.

Delaware County is broken down into three District Service Areas. These areas allow the Cradle of Liberty Council to better serve each Scouting community with a dedicated team of executives, volunteers, and Scouters.

Scout Reach

The Scout Reach Division gives special leadership and emphasis to urban and rural Scouting programs. Scout Reach is the BSA’s commitment to making sure that all young people have an opportunity to join Scouting, regardless of their circumstances, neighborhood, or ethnic background.
